IPCC 6th Assessment Report Review

UNEP DTU Partnership reviews the IPCC 6th Assessment Report on behalf of the European Commission’s DG CLIMA

The project enables DG CLIMA to ensure the IPCC reports are scientifically sound and politically balanced while covering areas relevant to the European Commission’s work on climate change.

Within a consortium led by Rambøll Management Consulting and in collaboration with a number of other research organizations (CE Delft, Fraunhofer ISI, IIASA, IVM VU, Wageningen University) UNEP DTU Partnership is providing services to DG CLIMA in their attempt to provide input into the ongoing review of the IPCC’s 6th Assessment Report cycle. The cycle consists of three Working Group reports focusing on: the science of climate change (WG I); impacts, vulnerabilities and adaptation (WG II); and mitigation (WG III).

UNEP DTU Partnership leads the review of the WG III report and members of the combined UNEP DTU Partnership and DTU team are involved in all three reviews. In total 11 senior researchers and professors from UNEP DTU Partnership, DTU Management’s System Analysis and Sustainability, DTU SPACE and DTU AQUA are involved in this review of the IPCC report.
