The CBIT Transparency Support Team is a collaborative effort that brings together a team of experts from UNEP DTU Partnership working with the Capacity-Building Initiative for Transparency (CBIT).
In conjunction with countries around the world the team prepares projects to be presented under the CBIT Global Environment Facility (GEF) Trust Fund.
The overall objective of collaborative effort is to strengthen the preparation of CBIT projects to be presented to the GEF, by sharing common practices and approaches to enhance the quality of their technical components.
This work is done in line with the Article 13 of the Paris Agreement calling for increased transparency in global climate actions.
In the case of Latin American and Caribbean countries, this activity works under the UN Environment Center for Climate Action Transparency.
