Pia Riis Kofoed-Hansen

Administrative Coordinator

Pia joined UNEP DTU in 2008 and is the HR focal point. In this capacity, Pia’s work focuses on assisting the UNEP DTU Management, all UNEP DTU personnel, PhD’s, guests and students in HR related matters and is responsible for the PhD administration in collaboration with the department of DTU Management.

Pia coordinates most meetings involving UNEP DTU management at all levels (Management/Strategy/Sections), is handling the calendars of the Director and the Deputy Director, assisting both in travel related matters and furthermore, she support the UNEP DTU Management and participants in COP related issues.

Pia is involved in the coordination of & support to general meetings and conferences  at the UN City as she is the UNEP DTU/UN City admin. focal point (also on security issues) and is responsible for the student workers. Last but not least, she assists all UNEP DTU personnel in their day-to-day tasks.

Prior to joining UNEP DTU, Pia worked as Admin. Coordinator in the Danish Cancer Society after graduating from the Copenhagen Business School as bilingual correspondent in English & French in 1992.
