Elder Davy is a Ph.D. fellow at UNEP DTU. His main research interest centres on firm level innovation and catching-up in the renewable energy sector in Sub-Saharan Africa. His Ph.D. project investigates learning processes and capability acquisition in solar PV firms in South Africa.
In addition to the Ph.D. project, Elder regularly contributes to ongoing research projects relating to renewable energy in Africa. This includes empirical research in Kenya on trade barriers in environmental goods and value chain analysis of solar PV firms.
Elder holds an MSc. in Business and Development Studies from Copenhagen Business School.
