Ana is a versatile researcher with experience in planning and monitoring of software development projects combined with research in the area of use of information technologies in large group collaboration situations. Her research deals with use of information technologies to organize collective action, and development of information systems that support the achievement of environmental goals.
At UNEP DTU, she has been involved in projects supporting transparency of climate action, namely the Initiative for Climate Action Transparency (ICAT), and Global Coordination Platform for the Capacity-building Initiative on Transparency.
Before joining UNEP DTU, Ana was a doctoral fellow at the Algoritmi Research Center in the University of Minho in Portugal. She also held visiting scholar positions at the National University of Singapore and the University of Georgia (USA).
She has a PhD degree in Technologies and Information Systems from the University of Minho, Portugal.
