TNA peer experts to work with UNEP DTU Partnership on Climate Change Technology Needs Assessments (2021-2023)

UNEP DTU Partnership (UDP) is looking to a peer experts to work as an expert consultant in the implementation of the Technology Needs Assessment (TNA) project, in 17 Least Developed Countries and Small Island Development States.

The TNA project is funded by the Global Environment Facility and implemented by UNEP with UNEP DTU Partnership (UDP) as the executing agency. The contracting period will last approximately 2.5 years.

The objective of the TNA project is to support participating developing countries to identify and analyse their national priority technology needs, which can form the basis for a portfolio of climate technology projects and programmes to facilitate the transfer of, and access to climate technologies. Since 2009, more than 80 developing countries have undertaken TNAs to assess their technology needs to address climate change.

We are looking for peer experts for the TNA project. For more details, please read the full Terms of Reference 

Interested applicants should submit a short proposal to the Project Manager Sara Traerup at slmt@dtu.dk with copy to lugr@dtu.dk , summarising the following information:

  • Knowledge of technology needs assessment methodologies, including multi-criteria analysis, barriers analysis, basic economic assessments etc.
  • Experience with implementing a TNA process at national level
  • Knowledge of climate change technologies, across multiple sectors (both mitigation and adaptation)
  • Experience in providing training and capacity building to a broad group of stakeholders and in a developing country context
