COP 25: Where does the world stand

Denmark's national climate effort in a global perspective.

17 December, 2019 15:30 - 17 December, 2019 17:30
FN-Byen, Denmark

In the first two weeks of December, world leaders and activists gather for the UN Climate Change Conference – COP 25 – in Madrid. It is the 25th time countries meet, and this time the alarm bells are ringing louder than ever. Political action is needed if the world is to reach the goals in the Paris Agreement.

So how did the COP 25 negotiations go, and where are we now? How can we achieve the world’s goal of keeping the climate in balance? And how can Denmark’s efforts to reduce national emissions by 70 per cent contribute to the greatest possible global impact?

UNEP DTU Partnership and the Climate Council invite you to join the debate on climate negotiations and challenges on December 17, 15:30 – 17:30 at the UN City, Marmorvej 51, 2100 Østerbro / Nordhavn.

Please note the event will be held in Danish.
